Position Overview

The Asset Manager, under the direction of the CEO of Solarev Financial Services, will be responsible for the operating portfolios for the entire Company.

Essential Job Functions/Duties:

  • Ensures compliance with key project contracts (PPA, IA, AM, OM, Financing, Tax Equity, etc.).
  • Develop policies, processes and procedures to ensure contract requirements are fulfilled.
  • Manage contractual obligations including owners and vendors.
  • Maintain and grow good relations with all contract parties.
  • Perform all federal, states, regulatory, agreements, and others compliance report requirements
  • Manage day-to-day operations of renewable energy assets to maximize total return for each asset through analysis and identifying opportunities for further improvement.
  • Monitor and drive solar project operational performance by working closely with O&M providers to ensure each system delivers the production expected.
  • Produce monthly/quarterly/annual performance reports.
  • Develop annual operating budgets in accordance with agreements and financial models and monitors budget versus actuals with corrective actions.
  • Ensures that projects performance is in accordance with the operating budgets.
  • Coordinate with facility operators to plan for facility success including fault finding and investigation into equipment failures and under performance of facilities.
  • Overall management of energy sales (i.e. RECS, capacity revenue).
  • Facilitate hand-off from project management to operational management.
  • Insurance policy management, procurement, and renewal.
  • Seek continuous process and systems improvements.
  • Trains and develops the asset management team.
  • Leverages external resources effectively when outside expertise is necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ related experience.
  • Experience with residential, commercial, and micro-grid renewable energy industry.
  • Understanding of PV system design, operation, and key commercial and business drivers.
  • Knowledge in the systems, processes and protocols guiding the operations and maintenance of industrial and commercial PV solar plants and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of HLBV models.
  • Experience training and growing the technical knowledge of a team.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and possess exceptional project management skills.
  • MS Office applications (advanced excel is required).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Extremely detail oriented, with an ability to establish and follow processes.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Ability to work well and in a fast growing and dynamic organization.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team group environment.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of management.

  • Position requires occasional (20%) travel to office and business locations to conduct business transactions. This involves exposure to weather conditions, traveling distances to and from buildings, and operating a vehicle.
