PLEMCo, part of the SIRC group of companies, is a Department of Energy (DoE) Qualified Energy Services Company (ESCo) focused on the design and turnkey implementation of EV charging, Lighting and Solar infrastructure.  We service large commercial clients as well as municipalities, State agencies and Federal agencies via open-market solicitations or GSA contracts.

Since 2003, PLEMCo has been dedicated to implementation of measures to reduce CO2 emissions and energy efficiency improvements.  The scope of our expertise encompasses facility audit, preparation of project feasibility, product supply, and energy improvement and infrastructure projects.

Job Duties

Provide engineering, design and project support from RFQ to project handover to customer:

  • Design and engineer Electric Vehicle Supply Infrastructure (EVSE) systems, Lighting, Solar and general electrical systems.
  • Conduct site visits to gather details relating to preparation of quotes.
  • Submit formal designs for approval by Professional Engineers and government permitting authorities.
  • Prepare quotes and other sales and pricing related documents for customers.
  • Prepare material, labor, services and expense details for accurate project costing.
  • Support sales staff and customer during the RFQ stage.
  • Prepare final Bill of Materials for material purchase after award of project.  Facilitate ordering of material.
  • Provide back-office support during project execution.

Must be well organized, be able to manage multiple projects and have strong communication skills. 

 

Minimum qualifications:

BS (Electrical Engineering) with emphasis in Electrical Power Systems

3-4 years’ experience in EV chargers, electrical distribution or energy fields.

Working knowledge of dry type power transformers, switchgear and electrical protection.

Working experience with AutoCAD software.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel software.

 

Desirable qualifications:

Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC).

Experience with outdoor electrical systems and electric utility interface.

Experience with Medium Voltage Electrical Systems.

Experience with structured data cabling.

Experience preparing bids and proposals for customers in response to RFQs.
